Instant echo reduction, crisper dialogue and tighter bass – acoustic panels behind TV blend seamlessly with your living room design thanks to their slim-profile solutions.
How does an acoustic panel placed behind the television help?
It reduces reflections from the wall, making speech more intelligible, bass less muddy, and the overall sound more balanced.
Light-absorbing surfaces also cut down glare around the screen, improving contrast and reducing eye strain.
Correct positioning and the right thickness bring noticeable improvements from the high–mid range all the way down to the lows.

Which panel works best behind the TV?
Choose the right design for your needs: cable management, glare reduction, diffusion or full wall coverage.
- Light-absorbing textile covering, thick panel: eliminates glare around the screen and enhances contrast.
- Slatted design panel “Freja”: frame it around the TV or extend it to the side walls; you can also cover the entire wall behind the TV and mount the bracket directly on it.
- Thin, self-adhesive PET panel: ideal for hiding cables with minimal thickness.
- Panel with diffuser front placed on either side of the TV, behind the loudspeakers: at the first reflection points.
- Acoustic panel covering the whole wall: recommended only for professional-grade sound, with the TV mounted on this surface.
Many people also choose TV wall acoustic panels, especially when they want to combine decorative effect with sound treatment.

How should I size and position the panels?
A well-sized panel and a few targeted strips are more effective than excessive coverage.
How large should the frame around the TV be?
Panels should extend at least +20–30 cm beyond the TV on all sides, and +40 cm above. For professional sound, panels should be at least ~1 metre wider than the TV – so reflections from the wall are absorbed.
Is a slim profile enough if I leave an air gap?
Yes: 20–24 mm thick panels are more than sufficient for the high–mid range if you leave a 1–2 cm gap behind them. The gap extends low-frequency absorption, while still leaving room for cables without pushing the TV further forward.
What if my living room is asymmetrical?
Extend the panel surface further towards the larger empty side, so the soundstage doesn’t shift.
Alternatively, you can balance the acoustics with a room-divider curtain.
Where are the critical “mirror points”?
Mark the mirror points on either side of the screen and place 25–30 cm wide vertical strips there.
Even smaller surfaces make a big impact.
How do I integrate the soundbar and reduce furniture colouring?
Leave a loudspeaker niche in the panel, and place the soundbar on a flexible pad or marble slab.
This prevents the furniture from colouring the sound.
Can I have a hidden service opening?
Yes: place a magnetic, removable panel in front of the VESA bracket and connectors.
Access is just one move, magnets are available at any hardware store.
How can I route cables neatly?
Run the power cable, HDMI, and LED strip through a U-profile at the back of the panel, leaving an outlet at the bottom.
How does a dark frame improve picture quality?
Surround the TV with a dark felt Bilnora acoustic panel: it absorbs scattered light, removes glare, and improves contrast: your eyes will tire less quickly.
Do I need a diffuser in the frame?
Narrow diffuser inserts in the upper or side zones create clearer dialogue and a wider soundstage. You don’t need thick absorbers everywhere.
What if the TV is close to the corner?
Use a corner bass trap element: the 45° closure reduces low-frequency build-up in the corners.
Can I order custom sizes if standard ones don’t fit?
Yes: if a sound-absorbing panel doesn’t match your wall, you can order custom-made, millimetre-precise designs and finishes.
What should I consider with LED edge lighting and ventilation?
If you want LED strips, don’t block ventilation between panel and wall: leave at least a 2 cm free gap above the TV.
