What Is an Acoustic Element with a Diffuser?
An acoustic element with a diffuser is a hybrid solution that combines traditional sound absorption with diffusion. It features a specially designed diffuser face plate, engineered using precise mathematical models to manage how sound interacts with the surface.
This intelligent design allows the panel to absorb certain frequencies while reflecting others. At Perfect Acoustic, these 2-in-1 elements are crafted to deliver targeted performance across the frequency spectrum.
Why Is This Dual Function So Beneficial?
Unlike broadband absorbers that absorb sound evenly across all frequencies, absorbers with diffusers are more selective:
They absorb more low-frequency energy (below 300 Hz)
They reflect more high-frequency energy (above 600 Hz)
This balance prevents rooms from becoming overdamped, which can dull high-frequency detail and reduce clarity. As a result, you get a more natural, balanced acoustic environment—ideal for home studios, listening rooms, or any space where sound quality matters.
Thanks to the diffusing face plate installed on the acoustic panel the sound can move more freely through the slots thus it has also a reflecting and scattering impact.
What Materials Are Perfect Acoustic’s Acoustic Absorbers with Diffuser Made Of?
Our acoustic absorbers with diffuser are built from premium-quality materials to ensure both acoustic performance and durability.
The core structure features a solid, heavy-duty wooden frame, filled with high-density acoustic wool (90 kg/m³). This fibrous, dense material is highly effective at absorbing deep bass frequencies, which lighter materials—such as foam, styrofoam, or standard acoustic foam—cannot properly mitigate.
We use only non-toxic acoustic wool, and to ensure maximum safety, the panel is wrapped in a dust-inhibiting acoustic velvet cover.
The diffuser function is achieved by a custom-designed, compressed wood face plate, engineered by Perfect Acoustic for optimal sound diffusion.
For easy installation, each panel comes with pre-drilled holes on the back, making wall or ceiling mounting fast and convenient.
Colors and Patterns
We customize the appearance of our acoustic panels to match your individual style and preferences:
Acoustic velvet covers available in 15 different colors
Diffuser face plates offered in a variety of colors and milled patterns
By combining these options, you can choose from dozens of unique visual designs, allowing your acoustic treatment to blend seamlessly with any interior.
Where to Use
Our panels are suitable for any space that requires acoustic optimization, including:
Recording studios
Offices
Hi-fi listening rooms
Home cinemas
Living rooms
Showrooms
Thanks to their size and weight, our panels do not require wall mounting—they can stand securely on their own feet, making them ideal as portable acoustic panels as well.

With diffuser acoustic panels, you can experience harmonious, balanced sound in any space. Each panel features a solid hardwood structure filled with high-density acoustic cotton that is completely safe for health and provides exceptional sound absorption. The surface is wrapped in dense acoustic silk, which prevents dust emission while enhancing visual appeal. The diffuser face plates, made from solid hardwood, are available in a wide selection of colors and milled patterns, allowing for customization to suit your taste.
These panels combine the functions of absorbers and diffusers:
They absorb deep frequencies, particularly bass sounds
They scatter mid and high frequencies evenly across the room, resulting in clearer, more natural acoustics
If your room layout doesn’t allow for the installation of separate bass traps and diffusers, these 2-in-1 hybrid panels offer the perfect solution—delivering professional-grade acoustics without compromising aesthetics.
Mute the Bass Without Overdamping
Achieving optimal acoustics requires reducing excessive low frequencies while preserving the natural presence of mid and high tones. Over-attenuation can lead to a dull, lifeless sound. That’s why balance is key.
Our diffuser panels effectively manage bass frequencies through vibrating lamellas on the hardwood face—attenuating sound from 40 Hz up to 20,000 Hz. This ensures full-range treatment while keeping the musicality and clarity intact.
Diffuser Face Design
The front surface of each diffuser features small, precisely spaced gaps. These allow sound to enter and be reflected in a controlled, multidirectional manner. Unlike glass or plain wall surfaces that reflect sound in a single direction—causing disturbing echoes—our diffusers scatter sound energy in all directions, reducing:
Flutter echo
Harsh reverberation
Standing wave buildup
They cover the entire frequency range, providing a well-balanced soundscape across the room.
Room Acoustic Design & Installation
The most effective placement of diffuser panels should be based on professional acoustic measurement, either online or on-site. All our products are handcrafted from premium raw materials and are continuously tested for acoustic efficiency.
Installation is simple:
Panels include pre-drilled holes for easy wall or ceiling mounting
Optional folding legs are available for freestanding placement, making them suitable as mobile acoustic panels
These panels are essential in home theaters, sound studios, and offices:
In studios, accurate sound capture is critical—poor room acoustics can lead to recordings that sound completely different when played elsewhere.
In offices, the panels help reduce ambient noise, creating a calmer environment that boosts productivity and well-being. Excessive noise can even contribute to headaches and stress.
By combining sound-absorbing and scattering properties, the surround sound improves significantly! Pine wood frame is one of the most effective sound-absorbing materials. Do not use unsuitable materials for acoustic purposes if you want to achieve a flawless result. Styrofoam, plastic sponges, or egg boxesare among these materials. Every customer can be maximally satisfied with Perfect Acoustic’s products. Our acoustic elements, carefully designed and prepared based on mathematical calculations, are always performed by the requirements. Their sophisticated and attractive design allows them to fit the style of any room. Our company offers two types of diffuser acoustic elements: the acoustic panel with diffuser, and the diffuser bass trap, corner element. The latter product is specifically recommended for the treatment of corners, as the deep sound is collected in the corners in the largest amount. SzG
