Cleaning:
The Cubic deep sounds absorber is very easy to keep clean, it is enough to wipe it with a slightly damp cloth.
Is the performance of the deep sound absorber measurable?
There are free downloadable software to measure bass sound absorbers’ performance. First do the measuring without installing a deep sound absorber, then place the deep sound absorber in the appropriate part of the room (corner, for example) and repeat the measuring. You will not be disappointed with Perfect Acoustic’s cubic deep sound absorber’s performance, measuring results will confirm the achieved results! It is not worth trying to use cheaper, poorer quality products, sponge or styrofoam materials instead. The general foam, which is 20-30kg/m3 in density, cannot absorb deep sounds. In our range, we offer the extra high-density 80kg/m3 Elitexa acoustic foam, which due to its extra high density can also absorb deep sounds.
Cube deep absorber properties:
It attenuates unwanted sound waves from as low as 40 Hz up to 20,000 Hz.

How to use Cubic sound traps?
Since bass tones are accumulated mostly in the corners, it is advisable to place at least two bass traps on top of each other in each corner. Corner sound traps are recommended for the corners, if we have enough space for them. For lack of space we recommend narrower or custom sized acoustic panels. If that still doesn’t work, try placing them at the height of your ear: this way, we can also control the secondary reflection point.
“The die has been cast”
The cubic deep sound absorber eliminates the disproportion of sounds .
Panels acoustic options
Together with the bass trap broadband acoustic panel, we immediately experience a quality improvement. The basses are calmed down, the rattle from echoes decreases, and the standing waves responsible for exaggerated bass tones and extinction of higher frequencies disappear. This will result in smoother and clearer sound due to reduced reflections and echoes.

How Do Bass Traps Help Create Optimal Acoustics?
Bass traps are essential for absorbing bass sounds, which can otherwise overwhelm a space. The room’s size and shape also significantly impact acoustics, amplifying some frequencies while canceling out others. The cubic bass trap was specifically designed to address this issue. When combined with broadband acoustic panels and diffusers, bass traps help achieve a balanced, clear, and airy sound. Acoustic panels are the best option for noise absorption and soundproofing purposes.
Why Has the Use of Sound-Absorbing Panels Become So Important?
Predominance of Bass Sounds in Studios
Thanks to advancements in technology and science, we can now achieve perfect sound and music recordings in our homes, provided we have the right tools and equipment. However, smaller or larger studios, halls, and rooms are often located in buildings that were not originally designed with acoustics in mind.
The smaller the room, the more likely you are to encounter acoustic issues. The proximity of the walls creates significant reflections, negatively affecting the performance of speakers and instruments. Many rooms are rectangular or square in shape, which creates standing waves and rattling echoes due to parallel walls. These negative acoustic effects are especially disruptive to the ear.
Broadband sound-absorbing panels and soundproofing acoustic panels provide an effective solution.
Managing Bass Frequencies
Bass frequencies are particularly challenging to manage. When multiple frequency phases combine, bass sounds can be amplified at certain frequencies, creating interference. These sound waves can either complement or cancel each other out, causing some areas of the room to sound too quiet or too loud.
With optimal acoustics, the sound quality will be consistent throughout the room, with minimal differences across the space.
“I’ve Been Around Every Corner…”
The importance of acoustic treatment in corners cannot be overstated. Every acoustician begins the acoustic optimization of a room by addressing the corners. Deep sounds tend to accumulate significantly in the corners, making it absolutely essential to place bass traps there. By doubling the number of bass traps in the corners, they act as sound traps, effectively absorbing excessive bass frequencies. Choose the best acoustic absorption panels from our range to optimize your room’s acoustics.
“Teacher, Please, I Couldn’t Catch That!” – How Can the Membrane Absorb Deep Sounds?
It’s not rocket science. The dense, soundproofing membrane in bass traps significantly slows down those intrusive low frequencies through a silent vibration process as the bass passes through. The thermodynamic effect of the dense, fibrous acoustic cotton inside the bass traps slows down the bass sounds passing through and converts its acoustic energy into heat. If you’re experiencing issues below 600 Hz, you should use the soundproofing Giga bass trap.
This All Sounds Great, But What About the Higher Frequencies?
High frequencies are much easier to absorb, even by the simplest everyday objects. Our furniture, curtains, and even small items serve as basic sound-absorbing devices. However, bass frequencies present a greater challenge for typical furnishings. Since controlling the absorption of low frequencies is the most difficult task and achieving ideal surround sound requires managing both low and high frequencies, some higher tones must be sacrificed in the process. Absorbing trebles could be seen as a necessary “collateral damage” in the pursuit of balanced acoustics.
Even when placed behind a home theatre curtain, our bass traps work perfectly as the deep sound passes unhindered through the curtain!
The Secrets of Sounds
Sounds are not only part of the music world; they also form a fundamental part of our everyday lives in the form of speech and various external noises. Not all sounds are audible to the human ear. Some frequencies fall outside the range of human hearing. As sound propagates, the particles involved move in a frictional motion. Over distance, the sound gradually fades, loses energy, and eventually disappears. However, this sound energy is not lost; it is merely converted into heat.
The number of vibrations at different frequencies is not the same. Deeper sounds have lower frequencies, while treble sounds have higher frequencies. It takes more energy to move the particles of high-pitched tones in the air, but for deep tones, much less energy is needed for propagation.
This means that, for the same amount of energy, treble sounds travel much shorter distances than bass sounds.
When there is a strong sound effect in close proximity, we hear a sharp, clicking sound. However, if we hear the same sound effect from a distance, the bass sounds are more prominent. This is because the sound close by contains both high and low frequencies. As the sound travels further, the high frequencies (with their faster vibrations) weaken and eventually disappear, leaving only the low frequencies to be heard.
The Transmission of Sounds
The transmission and reproduction of sound require the right equipment. We’re all familiar with common audio devices like speakers and loudspeakers. While there are many brands and types available on the market, it is impossible for any single speaker to reproduce all frequencies across the entire sound range.
Why is it impossible for one speaker to reproduce all frequencies?
The answer lies in the science of physics. Higher frequencies have a higher number of vibrations, and these rapid vibrations can only be executed by small membranes. On the other hand, deep sounds require larger, more rigid membranes that cannot vibrate with the same intensity and speed needed for higher frequencies.
Interference – What is it? Let’s Dive Deeper Into This Topic…
Why Do Acoustic Issues Occur?
When sounds vibrate in a room, they reach our ears, but they are quickly reflected off the walls and ceiling. This results in a confusing and unpleasant sound, often referred to as an echo.
When sound waves reflected from the walls meet the original sound, some frequencies cancel each other out, while others tend to amplify each other. This phenomenon is called sound interference. As a result, the sound is heard at different intensities in various parts of the room. What we hear is the “own” sound of the room, which often leads to undesirable effects, particularly when we make adjustments or corrections to recorded sound.
For example, when we’re positioned in front of or beside the speakers during playback, we might be in a spot where bass sounds cancel out. Naturally, we may try to increase the bass on the recording. However, when we listen to the same sound in another location, we might be shocked to find that excessive bass suppresses the other sounds, making it unpleasant to hear.
This demonstrates the importance of having well-balanced acoustics in the room where sound is recorded. Proper acoustics are crucial for achieving an accurate and enjoyable sound experience.
Absorption and Soundproofing Panels: Acoustic Options
To solve these acoustic issues, absorption and soundproofing panels are essential. These panels help manage sound reflections, reduce interference, and absorb unwanted sound energy. By treating the room with the right panels, you can create a more controlled and balanced acoustic environment, ensuring that what you hear is true to the original sound.
Acoustic foam has no sound absorption and soundproofing ability. Acoustic foam is not suitable for treating room acoustics. The general foam, which is 20-30kg/m3 in density, cannot absorb deep sounds. In our range, we offer the extra high-density 80kg/m3 Elitexa acoustic foam, which due to its extra high density can also absorb deep sounds. If you want effective acoustic treatment in your home or office, select our sound absorption acoustic panels, which can produce favourable results with effective sound absorption and soundproofing ability. We offer several options on our page from the best absorption and soundproofing acoustic panels. Purchasing the best noise absorption fabric and wall panel you can achieve the best results for an ideal acoustics. The best acoustic treatment can only be achieved with absorption and soundproofing acoustic panels, but avoid acoustic foams. Soundproofing curtains made of soundproofing fabric are used to cope with the windows’ surfaces. By absorption noises, the best acoustics can be obtained in your studio and office alike. We use dense absorption materials for soundproofing wall panels, please visit our webshop for more options.
What Should We Do to Achieve the Right Acoustics for Our Studio?
It’s not just echoes that need to be addressed. Attenuating deep sounds is a crucial task that requires acoustic measurements, precise design, and construction. To ensure that bass sounds do not overpower the room, it’s important to approach the acoustics with care. Simply crowding the walls with rock wool, egg cartons, or other similar items that only absorb higher frequencies is not enough, as they do not address low-frequency issues.
By installing bass traps, bass-absorbing membranes, and diffusers, we can effectively reduce direct echoes and control excessive bass. This leads to a more balanced, enjoyable sound experience and an overall improved musical environment. By eliminating the distortions caused by echoes and curbing excessive low-end frequencies, you will achieve a truly exceptional surround sound experience. This also ensures that tone control during post-production remains accurate after recording.
Proper Placement of Acoustic Devices
It’s important to remember that placing high-quality acoustic devices in the correct locations is essential. Even the best products may not perform at their full potential if they aren’t positioned properly within the studio or room. Proper placement maximizes the efficiency of each product, ensuring optimal acoustic performance. Perfect Acoustic is dedicated to helping customers with the ideal placement of their products to get the most out of their acoustic treatment.
