We can make curtains up to 280 cm wide. If you need it wider than this, ask for a velcro. This way you can easily put the curtains together. They will also be easier to clean. Size: 140cm is the width of the fabric, if you order wider than that we will sew it to the 140cm fabric.

Of course, prices include the sewing of the curtains!

Sound Curtain Parameters

Our Forio soundproof curtains are designed to combine effective sound control with a clean and elegant appearance. Each curtain is made to order, so it fits perfectly into the intended space.

Dimensions and Custom Sizing

The standard width of the curtain is 140 cm, while the length is fully customized. For wider surfaces, we always join multiple 140 cm panels lengthwise. These seams remain barely visible because they are hidden within the natural folds of the curtain.

For optimal results, curtains should be at least twice the width of the window or opening. However, if you want improved acoustics and stronger sound absorption, a width 2.5 times larger is the most effective solution. Proper planning and precise measurement are essential, because a well-fitted curtain performs better and looks more refined.

Hanging and Mounting Options

We offer several hanging solutions to suit different spaces and preferences. Please specify your chosen option by email. Ring-based systems may involve an additional cost.

Tweezers

With this traditional solution, the fabric is gathered and attached using tweezers. Because our soundproof curtains are heavy and dense, it is important to choose tweezers with sufficient strength. We do not supply tweezers. In addition, always check the load capacity of the curtain rod, as it may bend under high weight.

Through-Hole System

The through-hole design allows easy insertion of the curtain rod. This option requires slightly larger fabric dimensions, so we recommend allowing approximately +10 cm for a folded return.

Rings

We use industrial-strength plastic rings that are both durable and visually clean. Each ring has a 40 mm inner diameter and helps conceal the curtain rod. The ring system consists of two compressed parts to ensure stability and can support up to 150 kg per ring.

Sound control and absorption:

We come across many studios or hi-fi and cinema rooms during acoustic measurements where there are huge window surfaces. These surfaces are very acoustically difficult to handle. Without soundproofing curtains, it would be an impossible mission. Fortunately, we have an easier job with the soundproof curtain already available from us. Since all our soundproofing curtains are made of very dense materials with a minimum of two layers, they can handle both medium-deep and high-pitched sounds very well. Due to their thickness, it filters light 100%. So it can even be used to darken a cinema room. For those who do not like total darkness, it is not necessary to darken the room completely, because if we tighten it to a thickness of only half a meter, it still has excellent sound attenuation.

It’s soothing when the curtain is pulled together

Yes of course. Very effectively. This is to be thought of as multiplying its density by the thickness of the pulled-out curtain as that vast material is concentrated in one place. Another best application is to order the material for windows with larger surfaces so that it goes from the edge of the windows to the edge of the windows. So if you have up to 4-5 windows on one side for a larger area, the minimum is 4-5 stiffeners on that side. In this case, a shorter curtain can go for each brace,  so 4-5 curtains half a meter wide and up to 3 m high come together. If we calculate the measure of this area, we will get that 7.5m2. If an acoustic panel is 0.7m2 on average, it is as if we have bought 10 sound-deadening panels and placed them in front of the windows. That sounds pretty good, doesn’t it?

Calculation of the dimension of the sound-absorbing curtain

The width of the curtains is 140 cm, the edge should be added and on each side about 2-2 cm. If you want a sound insulation curtain with a hood, you have to count on about 6-8 cm at the top! All of these need to be calculated so that the soundproof curtain not only improves the acoustics but even makes them aesthetically pleasing! Because the primary goal is to improve room acoustics, studio acoustics, and office acoustics, let’s not forget about the whole picture either!

Unfortunately, due to the individual sizes, we are unable to take back the curtains! Therefore, think carefully about patterns and colors.

2. The listed weight refers to one running meter of fabric. One running meter equals 140 cm and weighs 720 g. A weight deviation of ±5–15% may occur.

Once the order is placed and paid, individual curtain orders cannot be modified or canceled, and refunds are not possible. Minor color variations may occur between samples, curtains, and repeat orders. Production tolerances of ±1–2% are possible.
